My Top 10 Tracks: Andres Sehr from Spotify

Throughout this month The Pansentient League is running a special feature where some of our favourite bands, DJs, and music personalities tell us about their Top 10 Songs. Each article includes a Spotify playlist so that you can listen in to the selection while reading the guest’s commentary.

Andres Sehr is the tireless Global Community Manager for Spotify. To many, Andres is the face of the company: he’s the man behind Spotify’s official support forum, blog, and twitter page. Expertly adept at managing Spotify’s social media streams, Andres’ advice and support has helped many a Spotify user over the past year or two. He’s also been a great supporter of this little blog’s Spotify adventures. I asked Andres if he could spare a minute to give us a list of his ten favourite songs. Here’s his choice!

1. Beck – Devils Haircut

One of the best album opening songs on a great album.

2. Beastie Boys – Sabotage

Brings back memories of high school.

3. M.I.A. – Paper Planes

Who doesn’t love this song?

4. Buena Vista Social Club – Chan Chan

I could listen to the Buena Vista Social Club album over and over.

5. Nina Simone – My Baby Just Cares For Me

Nina Simone is by far one of the most listenable jazz artists out there.

6. Neil Young – Ohio

I’m a big Neil Young fan. This is one of his best and perhaps the finest anti-war song ever.

7. Nirvana – All Apologies

This track played in one of the final episodes of Six Feet Under and has stuck with me ever since.

8. Coldplay – The Scientist

Coldplay are super-popular: tracks like this explain why.

9. Bon Iver – For Emma

Beautiful song, enough said!

10. Radiohead – Street Spirit

I could pick dozens of Radiohead songs for my list but this one has always been one of my favourites.
