Thanks for the comment James, will check those apps out! I'd tried StreamFurious a while back for shoutcast stations but found it wanting. Will certainly look into DroidLive.
So far I've paid for two apps: Record It and a music player called RockOn. RockOn had a nice-looking album art flicker feature, but the app was just too buggy and crashed my phone a few times. May check it out again soon though.

I use a fair few of them. Here are some I use, which you might like to look at it you haven't already.

DroidLive - The only app I've paid for so far. (There is a free version though) The app streams the 30,000+ shoutcast radio stations, and in my opinion has the best looking UI I've seen on any Android app.

Astrid - Lovely task manager, with plenty of functions. You can even hook this up with locale to send you a reminder of tasks when you are at a particular location.

Mediafly - Very recently released podcast app that has replaced ACast for me at the moment. Keeping an eye on the development of Googles Listen too

3banana - Quick fire app for taking notes, and pics. Handy when you just want to jot down a number, url etc. (Looking forward to Evernotes Android app though... when it arrives)

Gmote - Remote control for your computer.

I have quite a few others... but those are 5 I use on a regular basis...
