What about spotify house playlists sharing website http://www.spotifymusicsolutions.com ? not like most of the playlists sharing websites spotifymusicsolutions.com playlists are specific and oriented just to house music and few other electronic music gendres.

Hi afront,
and thank you for this useful benchmark.

As I was quite disappointed that my site (http://www.spotilinks.co.uk) was not the winner of your "Most features" award, I wanted to claim its specificities.

Spotilinks aims at being a "social web application" for Spotify users.
Each member of the community can use his personal board (a unique web page) to :
- manage all the playlists, albums and audioposts he has shared (with other members) or selected (from other members)
- automatically receive (like with RSS feeds) the playlists, albums and audioposts that were recently related to the genres, members or audioblogs he has subscribed to

This is then meant to be much more useful than common WordPress sites to manage and discover Spotify URIs.

Besides, I would like to explain my position on the features you rated :
- cover art : legal issues + too demanding for the uploader. I chose a non-graphic approach to reach effectiveness (only links such as Craigslist...)
- genres : this is a major browsing criteria. I also use "moods".
- search : you can search for playlists, but also for artists, albums, members and audioposts
- view by user : from each playlist, you can reach member's board to discover/listen his music collection...and eventually subscribe to his publications and selections
- login : this is necessary to enjoy your personal board ; but all playlists are reachable without registration
- voting system : I choose not to offer this feature which is, in my opinion, a musical non-sense. Indeed, I will not find my playlists from a mathematical average rank among all users but rather get suggestions from the members whose musical tastes are close to mine (either from subscription or from browsing to the members who created or selected a playlist)
- counting views : I also think this is a bad key indicator. 1st : why would I want to hear the most heard playlists. 2nd : As you don't know the content of the playlist before opening its Spotify URI, those click counters do neither measure the numbers of "play" nor the quality of the playlist (whereas on Spotilinks, each member can listent to a playlist and, if he liked it, "select" it to store it in his personnal board)
- comment : I removed this feature to simplify the user interface (focusing on browsing, selecting and subscribing features...)

Don't get me wrong : I did not want to complain but just to make sure you understood the powerfull features behind the rather unsexy look of Spotilinks.

I recently modified the user interface to make it more straightforward. I also added the "audioposts" feature that lets users discover and follow musical blogs that suit their tastes.

Feel free to have a try and provide feedback.
